What we do
The Makaton Charity supports those living with learning or communication difficulties and provides
the tools and resources they need to understand and be understood.  We are the UK's leading
language programme for children and adults with communication or learning difficulties. Makaton
uses signs, symbols, and speech to develop communication, language, and literacy skills. The Makaton
Charity provides advice, training, and resources for families, carers, and professionals. We work to
share our knowledge and influence society to improve communication for all.
